Ewan Cameron (1922-1991), was a physician and researcher who,for many years, collaborated closely with Linus Pauling in studying thepotential benefits of treating cancer with megadoses of vitamin C. Hispapers contain many of the personal and official letters, research notes,manuscripts, and scientific offprints that he and his estate accumulatedover the years 1959-1994, with the bulk dating to his time of affiliationwith the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine,1971-1991.

Dr. Ewan Cameron was born in Glasgow, Scotland July 31, 1922. He received his medical degree from the University of Glasgow in 1944, and immediately joined the British Army, where he served as a medical officer in Burma for three years. A gifted surgeon, Cameron worked as a Consultant Surgeon at Vale of Leven Hospital in Dunbartonshire, Scotland, from 1956 to 1982, becoming the Senior Consultant Surgeon in 1973. Arthur Robinson was an undergraduate at Cal Tech when Linus Pauling was on the Cal Tech faculty. Robinson subsequently earned a Ph. D. in biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and eventually took a position in the chemistry department at UCSD.
